The quick chill conveyor is specially designed for extremely cold temperatures. Arriving from the trimming conveyor in the dressing area, carcasses are re-hooked at the inlet of the chill tunnel, onto the chill tunnel conveyor. Design and overall length is dependent on capacity and customer requirements.
The chain is a galvanized link chain suspended in plastic wheels with bludgeons riveted into the chain at 400mm intervals. At the input and output ends, the quick chill conveyor is equipped with a suspension unit, from the slide bar to bludgeon and back to the slide bar at the other end.
The drive is carried out via the driving wheel, which is pulled by a gear motor. It is possible to adjust the feeding speed with a manual variation or a frequency converter.
The chain is kept tight by the tightening slide, which is kept continuously loaded by means of tensile stress from a plump via a tackle.
