Full Tray Transport

Full destination control of internal trays is crucial in every meat logistics system. Frontmatec offers complete installations designed for each individual customer. The installation consists of modular conveyor belts for horizontal tray transport and elevators/step elevators for vertical transport. Identification of each tray and its contents is very important. Therefore, the logistics system can use RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) or barcodes as identification on each tray to make sure there is full control of the production line.

The tray handling system is controlled by a PLC control system, which also provides on-line information through an optional SCADA system on the functionality. The belts are supplied completely in stainless steel, including stainless steel drum motors and stainless steel idle pulleys. Operating devices such as pneumatic stops, pushers, scrapers, two-way guides and tray tippers for emptying one to three trays at a time are modular in design and can be installed individually on the conveyors.
