What is SCADA? - A system for control and monitoring

SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) is a system used to control and monitor automated installations. It typically includes one or more PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and a SCADA system. The PLCs control the actual processes, but they lack a user interface. The SCADA system serves as the interface, collecting information from the PLCs and providing access to the process through various clients.

Frontmatec SCADA solutions - S2

At Frontmatec, we offer our customers a wide range of solutions within SCADA. We collaborate with a wide range of SCADA solution developers, but have also developed our own SCADA solution, S2.

S2 was previously called System 2000. Although the system has been renamed, it is still the same familiar and robust SCADA system that you will encounter. The system is an integrated modular software concept focusing on future SCADA requirements, which in addition to the graphical user interface includes database and networking facilities. S2 is based on an open platform that provides optimal opportunities to integrate all common substation types across manufacturers and communication modes.
